Recently some shared photos popped up into my iPhone's photo section. They were never there before (they are old photos sent to me in iMessage years back). I deleted these files in the Photo app, but every day they are back. Delete. Back again the next day.
I do not have the icloud setting on for Photos, so not sure why they will not stay gone.
How can I permanently remove them from my phone?

.If you're the owner of a shared album, you can delete any photos, videos, or comments from anyone. Subscribers can delete anything that they personally added. Anything you delete is automatically deleted from the album on all your devices and the devices of subscribers.

If so, make sure that your iPhone is up-to-date, as this can often help resolve unexpected behaviors.

Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, I have tried all that (deleting them from the shared folder in my phone, restarting), and every morning they are back again.
I cannot figure out how to stop that.
