Airpods 2nd Gen Sound Problems

I have the second generation AirPods and they are not as loud as they use to be. My main problem is with the sound coming from the right airpod. When I have both in my ear it doesn't even sound like I have the right one in even with full volume. The only time I can hear it loudly is when I have it turned a certain way where the speaker on the side is directed toward my ear. There is no gunk blocking the main speaker and it is completely clean, nothing in my settings fixes the problem, I've forgotten the device and reconnected, etc... Nothing works and I have attempted every single solution I have found on the internet.

If anyone has a solution, please help.

Also, I know it is not a physical hearing problem because regular apple earbuds work perfectly.

Hello Zowo,

It sounds like you've tried some good steps already. Have you had a chance to try the steps here to reset the AirPods: How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support

It may also help to try connecting the same AirPods to a different device, just to see if the same problem persists. That can help to see if it's isolated to the device they were paired with.

If it still persists across multiple devices and after resetting, then you may wish to explore servicing options. This link can assist with locating nearby Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers (if applicable in your region): Apple - Find Locations - Location Selector

Cheers.
