iphone 12 failed restore after cellular update failed
Downloaded Itunes since it was suggested by support, to update my Iphone 12, after turning off my phone, turning it back on and it wouldn't allow me to do anything AT ALL!! no calls or texts, in or out.
When it failed to update through Itunes, it was suggested to me that I need to try restoring to factory settings.
Restoring to factory settings, not only failed but, made matters far worse!!
I have been through itunes, my carrier, and now I have to take it to an apple certified tech???
The warranty that comes with the phone expired in march.
My thoughts and faith in anything Apple is now ruined and has my entire family is afraid of any and all Apple products, with every right and reason to fear, since my entire family has a variety of Apple products. when it comes to software issues that occur, when doing what is normal such as turning off a phone, should not cause anyone to pay for an issue such as.
My question? WHY AM I HAVING TO PAY TO HAVE THIS ISSUE FIXED, WHEN ALL I DID WAS TURN OFF MY PHONE, AND TURN BACK ON???????
No one should have to go through this! The fact that I am told it may cost about 450.00 to have it repaired, is completely INSANE!
I would understand and accept this, if this were something that I caused. and since I did NOT cause this, NO ONE SHOULD BE PAYING ANYTHING OUT OF POCKET FOR THIS including myself!!
I have decided if I have to pay for Apple's software screw up, I will be leaving Apple for good. feeling betrayed by my own faith in a well known product!!!
