Mac book ai m1

I left my new macbook air in the hot car for 4 to 5 hrs. The macbook air becomes extremely hot and it cools down gradually after I remove it. Will it permanently affect my device if it happened only once? Thank you

Depending on the temperature and duration it's possible, but nothing worth worrying about. If it's working now it's not going to spontaneously stop working due to a previous temperature exceedance.
