Issues Launching - Google Drive on ( Mac Monetery ) Anyone has a solution?

After I first saw the discussion I clicked on the googledrive app in my Applications folder. It said Backup & Sync is out of date and install the Google drive app. I went to the App store and downloaded it.

Nothing appeared to happen when I clicked on the newgoogledrive.app

I went to System Preferences>Security&Privacy>Files&Folders and Google drive was there and when I clicked on it I got same message about Backup & Sync is out of date and install the Google drive app.

I then clicked on the googledrive.app and again nothing.

Then I noted in my Menu Bar that there was a new Google Drive icon. I clicked on it and had some options I had to select to complete the setup. I finished setting it up and now my Google Drive folder on my Mac syncs to Google Drive in the cloud.

If someone has a solution they will post the solution here.

What happens when you try to launch Google Drive? Error messages? What model/year computer? What version operating system?
