Screen time turns itself off

Hi I have set up screen time on my child’s phone multiple times, but every time there is an iOS update on my phone or her phone, it switches off screen time and all content restrictions/ app time limits.

Is there a way to put screen time on permanently because I keep finding that she is able to access websites she shouldn’t be able to and will have to remove the phone if I can’t make it safe for her to use.

iOS updates do not change iPhone settings or your personal data.

Be careful when sharing the device's sensitive and valuable information with friends and family members.

Thumb Rules:

  1. Enable  Guided Access before handing over an iPhone to kids
  2. Don't share Apple IDs
  3. Don't Jailbreak
  4. Don't share sensitive information pertaining to your device and payment methods
  5. Beware of Phishing

Update your iPhone:

When's the last time you updates your iPhone? Update it, backing it up first, seeing if this is fixed.

Update Using a Computer:

Use my User Tip:  Update your iPhone Using a Computer - User Tip

IMPORTANT: If you have an option to update, however, then be certain you backup your iPhone first. That way, you will have something to restore your iPhone from should anything go wrong with the update
