Apple tv rewinds by itself and menu button does not work

Hi, I have a very strange problem:

everything rewinds itself. From every app, apple apps and third party apps.
it rewinds even while I stream a video from another apple device.
the menu/back button does not work. Not from the remote and not from te digital one on other apple devices.

Everything is up to date. I did a reset, with and without using an apple ID/backup, Wifi and cable internet, and I even bought a new Apple TV. Same problem.

what is the problem? I really don’t know what to do 😭

Have you tried resetting the remote?

Is it possible that there is a secondary IR remote with a stuck button that is continuously giving a signal?

even bought a new Apple TV. Same problem.

That points to something in the environment (room, house), external to the Apple TV box.

Unless someone else chimes in with a good idea, I would suggest to contact an expert from the Apple Support staff for further assistance. Contact Apple for support and service (phone numbers) or start your support request online (chat/email/callback).

Yes, of course :)

Resetting and reconnection the physical is not the solution. And the problem is also when I stream video from MBP/iPad/iPhone to AppleTV. Then it rewinds. It has nothing to do with the physical remote.

and, the new apple tv has got the same problem.
