why is there a vertical line on my screen?

i opened my mac a few mins ago and noticed that there’s a vertical line on the screen that’s slightly brighter than the rest of the desktop. i tried restarting my mac but that line is still there

It would be telling if you can plug into an external monitor and test— if the line appear externally it points to a GPU issue.

If no lines externally it point to a Display issue.

Vertical artifacts are typically a issue with the display itself
