I just bought the new Siri/4K remove to use with my Apple HD (4th generation). I can control the volume on my Sony receiver with the remote. The TV is a Vizio with HDMI-CEC.
Is it possible to use the remote to turn the TV and the receiver on/off? If so, can you point me to instructions?

If CEC is activated:
Putting the Apple TV box to sleep would also send a HDMI-CEC signal to the other devices to also go to standby.
Turning on the Apple TV box would also send a HDMI-CEC signal to the other devices to also wake.
So verify that CEC is turned on on all HDMI devices.

To Quote Dr. Frankenstein, "It's alive, it's alive!" The Apple Remote now turns the TV on and off, too. Sadly, the receiver for the sound system is, shall we say, a bit limited, -- no CEC/HDMI capabilty.
