IPad adding extra letters when typing.

When my wife types an email on her iPad it adds extra letters when she attempts to hit the space bar. It will add either an n, m or comma. However, if she types on my iPad it doesn’t happen.

I did a hard reset and also turned off some options in the keyboard but it hasn’t helped.

Any good ideas?

Hi Toolman47,

Assuming she's using the US Keyboard the N, M and comma are all on the bottom row right above the space bar. Does the issue happen when the screen orientation is in portrait mode? You can test using the steps here: Rotate the screen on your iPad

If the issue doesn't occur when in portrait mode, try cleaning the screen of the iPad or temporarily removing any screen protector to test. How to clean your Apple products

You can also test closing the Mail app (if this doesn't occur in other apps) and a normal restart of the iPad, as you'll only want to force restart if the iPad isn't responding.

Quit and reopen an app on iPad

Best.
