I'm trying to bring a very simple timeline in to FCPX. It's basically a stringout with no effects. Used Resolve to export a 1.9 XML. The error message says "Invalid edit with no respective media" and lists every clip. FCPX is up to date. 10.6.2.
Those are warnings, not errors, and it is possible that things work anyway - do they?
Interestingly, I downloaded your xml file, imported it and it showed no warnings or errors.
Of course the clips themselves are missing, but the timeline looks perfectly fine otherwise:
If you try a minimal example - say, one or two clips in the timeline, and do the same thing, does it come through, or does it have the same error?
Could you post such a minimal xml? You could send it to yourself using wetransfer and post the link here.
That’s so strange. It creates a project in an event but the project is empty. It shows no duration and it won’t open anything in the timeline if you try to open it. The workaround I’m having to do is use the Deliver page in Resolve to create a FCPX package with new media. Then the XML created in that package works fine but then I’m creating duplicate media.
Unfortunately there is no XML I can download but have you tried to relink?
Or fix links in the XML text.
