copy music from iPhone to Macbook Air

I am trying to copy music (mostly that has been imported from CD) via iTunes that is currently on an old iPhone onto a new MacBook Air. any simple way of doing this - there seem to be lots of software downloads that seem to be expensive - can an apple store do this?

Transferring Music from iPhone to MacBook Air 2020 Hi - Tried transferring my Music from iPhone to new MacBook Air and it has been sucessful for some but not all. The majority of my music on my iPhone 7 is from when I had iTunes on my old MacBook Pro (2010). Can anyone help?

Transfer music My MacBook Air has IOS Catalina installed and I want to transfer a music album from this computer to my wife's iPhone X (updated with version 12.4.1). The internet keeps talking about using iTunes but this has been subsumed into the main system on the new update and I haven't been able to find any instructions on how to do it. Last resort is a local shop next week.

No. Apple won't help you with this. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device - Apple Community. iFunBox should give you a free way to recover the songs.
