Nothing happens when I connect my iPad and camera together using the Lightning to USB3 Camera Adapter

Hi im not getting any data, images to transfer when connecting these devices, any ideas?

iPad Air 3, iPadOS 15

With introduction of iPadOS the import photos prompt doesn’t now occur. Instead you must manually copy files from your camera (or storage card) using the native Files App. If directly connecting your camera, ensure that the camera is set to the correct transfer mode.
