IPad mail is not working

IPad mail comes up with a nearly blank screen. It says that no message selected. I can get access to my account via my iPhone. If I touch the screen it will crash to the home screen.


What is wrong with my mail app?

Restarting didn’t help. So I started to look around for anything strange. I found that the iPad had connected to a Wifi extender I use for an outdoor TV. Once I put it back on the main network it seems fine. What I don’t understand is why it didn’t work on the extender…

It sounds like you're having some trouble with your Mail app. We can help.


Since you've already confirmed the email account works on your other device, we'd like to rule out some other possibilities next.


Have you tried restarting the iPad? Many times restarting can clear up intermittent issues. Check out these steps for your particular model: Restart your iPad.


If you're still seeing the same behavior after restarting, we can try to update your iPadOS. Unlike other apps you can download from the App Store, the Mail app is built into the iPadOS software, so an update can also straighten out issues: Update iPadOS.


Give those steps a try, and see if there is any improvement.

I am also having the same issue with the built in mail app. I get a blank screen then it closes itself without letting me access my email. I can access this on my iphone without any issues. I have tried restarting and updating my OS and nothing changed. I have checked all of my settings and I am still connected to our main wifi (same as my phone). It has been running slow for the past few weeks but this new issue started earlier this week. Help.
