I have flashing stripes on the menu bar of my MacBook Pro

I have flashing stripes on my menubar, but there is no water damage or other damage. Does anyone know what this could have caused and what I can do about it?

You do not say what exact Mac this is...



On the Intel Mac— you can both, resetting the SMC How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support

and

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

(get at least two-three rounds of the chimes when holding the NRAM Reset)
