Cannot open attachments in Outlook after update to 11.6.6.

I am also facing the same issue when opening attachment of emails when using MAIL, i also use Thunderbird on my same MacBook but on Thunderbird i am not facing this issue. Hope apple would soon release a patch to get this sorted.

Sorry, almost forget to say that I have also unchecked the 'keep my Mac updated' box which I never normally do and also I have stopped Microsoft updates too. I know this isn't the done thing but I am sure once Microsoft and Apple have sorted themselves out, it will okay to keep everything updated automatically again.

apple shame! It's a sneaky way to force you to change your computer even if it's still fully functional! I went back to Catalina and everything works perfectly! Apple You must publish that MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2014) is not upgradeable to Big Sur! Now I have the serious problem that my Photo library that was opened with Big Sur no longer opens with the version of Photos that runs on Catalina. I lost several days of work trying to fix this mess not caused by me! Apple have been a customer for over thirty years but I am very disappointed by this unfair behavior!

I contacted Apple about AirDrop’s asking for permissions to transfer from my iPhone to late 2014 intel iMac. The phone rep solved the problem by instructing me to go to internet settings on each device, delete my network Not just change it or turn it off- delete it. Restart the devices. Chose my network, It worked. Airdrop is working. Just be sure that you know your network password before you delete your network.

This made my day. I had been so annoyed by this that I ended up starting a support chat with Apple the other day just to see if they were aware of it. It didn't seem they were and the first response was "upgrade to Monterey" but I have my own reasons for not wanting to upgrade just yet. So I kept at it, and ultimately had a long phone call with a senior support technician who was helpful but didn't think this would be treated with priority.

I won't claim credit but it sounds like collectively we made enough noise for someone to have a look.

I've just applied the update and sure enough, everything is working great. Thanks Apple!

I hope that everything will run well. In the meantime I have downgrade to Catalina and here remain. I have lost three full working days to try all the new installations and I have no longer patience to try and may have another problem.

Booting into Safe Mode did no good. Problem persists. Have used Feedback Assistant to contact Apple; have altered Microsoft as well. Will call Apple Care later when I have time.

Same for me.. I am assuming this will be come a big problem and eventually apple will have to release an update

This problem also occurs within Safari: If there's a pdf embedded in a webpage and I want to download it into preview I get the same error type. (I've updated my bug report at Apple, too.)

How to shutdown preview ? I given full disk access to all MS applications but didn't help.

Does anybody who sent a bug report to apple have already got any feedback from apple? For me it looks like they are ignoring the issue pushing the users to Monterey....

Sorry... I just stumbled on that solution. Maybe it is an issue with FontBook? Is FontBook deactivated in Safe Mode?

LOL... yeah they are still around! and still works great!

Cannot report to Feedback Assistant because I am not a developer. Cannot find where on Apple site to report this problem. Anyone?
