Can't set up successful email alias

Hi,

I'm trying to set up an email alias. All appears ok, but when i send a test mail i get an undeliverable response:

host 127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1] said: 550 5.1.1

<************@**********>: user does not exist (in reply to RCPT TO

command)

I've tried this with two different aliases but with the same outcome. Any ideas what I've done wrong?

How changing Mail accounts/ Mail Preferences/Accounts Hello, How can I change my Mail accounts ? My website provider has moved the website to a new environment: username is now with @<website>.nl , hostname is without 'www.', port is changed from 110 to 995. Under Mail: Preferences: Accounts: Server setup: I add @<website>.nl to the username, I delete the www. and change the port number. Then I get the error message: "Verify account name or password failed". If I go to another account, I can only click on the button "Do not save". How can I update my Mail accounts without losing the settings I entered ? Thanks, Hubert

Problems with Mail v16.0 Each time I try to send a new email, I finish typing the TO address and if I hit either RETURN or TAB, the FROM address automatically changes, at that moment, to another email account of mine that is totally unrelated and sometimes even a different business. I have updated to the latest OS 12.5 thinking that maybe that would fix it, but still doing the same thing. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Update: I left it for 24 hours and it seems to work...
