Why can't I trim start/end with Touch Bar anymore?

Hello!

I've always used the trim start/end shortcuts on the Touch Bar for Final Cut Pro but it seems after the newest version it doesn't work?

What I used to do was click on the clip I wanted to trim and then hit either shortcut. Now when I select the clip, the shortcut is greyed out. However, if I deselect it so I have nothing selected, I can then use the shortcut.

The problem is that I don't like doing it this way. Plus, the program may trim the end of a clip that I didn't mean to trim. Is anyone else experiencing this and if so, is there any way to revert back to the previous way of doing things? Thanks.

Good news. I just downloaded 10.6.3 (it seems to be gradually appearing, so may not yet be available everywhere).

This touch bar issue has been solved (as were the infamous "drag transition" problems and also the sound effects problem).

It is working fine for me.

Just like Tom, I'd like to know if the keyboard shortcuts still work (Option-[ and Option-])

When the application starts to misbehave, deleting preferences is one of the first things to try.

To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting FCP X and click Delete Preferences.

The application will start in a default state, and open an "Untitled" library. Reopen the library you were working on, set the preferences the way you like them, and try again.
