Why can't I trim start/end with Touch Bar anymore?

Good news. I just downloaded 10.6.3 (it seems to be gradually appearing, so may not yet be available everywhere).

This touch bar issue has been solved (as were the infamous "drag transition" problems and also the sound effects problem).

It is working fine for me.

Just like Tom, I'd like to know if the keyboard shortcuts still work (Option-[ and Option-])

When the application starts to misbehave, deleting preferences is one of the first things to try.

To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting FCP X and click Delete Preferences.

The application will start in a default state, and open an "Untitled" library. Reopen the library you were working on, set the preferences the way you like them, and try again.

I have to take it back...

In my haste, I did not check it properly. The touch bar works for me just as it does for you: only when the clip is not selected.

I launched my copy of 10.6.1 and there it always works.

So it seems this change was (intentionally or not - probably not) introduced in 10.6.2.

I'll just chime in that 10.6.3 briefly returned functionality for me (but only when the clip was de-selected, therefore the application often trimmed an unintended clip); but then randomly stopped working after a few days. Even on 10.6.3, the trim tools are now grayed out always.

Is the problem only in the Touch Bar or in the keyboard shortcuts as well? The shortcuts for me are working whether the clip is selected or not.
