Mac RDP

When I use my MacBook Air to login to my work PC, the back buttons do not work. I am using a Logitech MX Anywhere 3 for Mac. Any solution for this?

Remote Desktop 10.8.4 I have a MacBook Pro 2019 running OS Ventura (latest version) Going from Remote Desktop 10.8.3 to 10.8.4, I have lost the ability to use the Keyboard in Scancode mode. No keys respond, but the track pad moves the cursor. In Unicode mode I can type characters but backspace/delete, shift, return and the arrow keys do not work. The ability to use Unicode or Scankey modes is new to this version reportedly to provide the ability to access a wider variety of characters. This malfunction happens with all windows based applications … Word, PowerPoint etc. It was not an issue with prior versions of RDT. Seems to me like a keyboard mapping problem. However, I know enough about this to be dangerous. I have run the repair program for Mac, restarted the Mac OS, and restarted RDT. I have also restarted my virtual instance of windows 10 and there is no change. I have posted this as an Azure problem in the Microsoft website. No solutions from that side I would like to go back to version 10.8.3 or 10.8.2 but I cannot find this version. Thanks in advance for any helpful hints. :-)

Microsoft Remote Desktop wont stay full screen on MacBook Air My wife has just upgraded a very old MacBook to the latest MacBook Air (2020 M1). She uses Microsoft Remote Desktop to access her work computer remotely but whilst it launches fine, whenever she swipes across to the MRD desktop it instantly flicks back to her main desktop. Running MRD in ‘windowed’ mode works fine, but the space taken by both the Mac and windows dock is a problem and makes the screen too small. It works fine on our iMac (also OS 12.3).

How Do I Log Into My iMac From The Road How do I log into my iMac at home when I'm on the road? There don't seem to be any comprehensible, up-to-date guides on this site or anywhere on the net. Less than four months ago I was able to easily log into my iMac from my iPad and download some image files I needed. Fast forward to now, it seems to be impossible to do from my M1 MacBook Pro. What is the deal? Where are the instructions to perform this simple operation? The App Store also doesn't seem to have any remote desktop software for individuals. There's the $80 Remote Desktop but it looks like it's for IT managers, not regular people. Do I need third-party software? How am I missing what seems to be an obvious Apple feature? Thanks RS

This is likely an incompatibility between your KB and how your work PC is setup by your work IT department: mappings are not necessarily the same.

From experiencing something similar, my suggestion is your talk to your IT department about proper KB mapping. Or if any KBs are not suggested as workable. The solution is likely going to be to get/find a KB that works at home with the offsite PC.

Be aware, if it's a KB mapping problem, when you map to work, you lose current home mapping. You can't have both simultaneously.

That sounds out of my league. I work for a small company without IT. I set it up myself with RDP and Windows Remote. It used to work, then stopped one day. I assume an update changed something. I guess I need to find a professional to help. Appreciate the input.
