New Window Command Not Working in Safari

Hello,

When using Safari in full screen mode in macOS Monterey, the "option - command - N" shortcut to open a new window doesn't work until I click open "File" in the menu bar and, for lack of a better word, show the system the command.

In setting, I have prefer tabs set to "in full screen"

Any solutions?

Thanks.

Hey DoubleW,

It appears that you're having problems opening a new window in Safari using keyboard shortcuts while in full screen mode, and we're glad to provide assistance.

How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support -- Restart your Mac in safe mode and test the issue. Whether it happens or not in safe mode, restart your Mac normally to exit. Please refer to this before beginning: Graphics performance limited in macOS Recovery, safe mode, or Guest User mode - Apple Support

If it didn't happen while in safe mode, see if it happens after a restart.

Get Support - If the issue remained while in safe mode, or returned after restart, please contact Apple Support for further help.

All the best.
