Touch sensitivity

I just bought an ipad 10th Gen and it’s not as sensitive to the touch as my previous ipad. When swiping the apps of, I have to use an insisting touch for it to budge.

Is there a way to improve the screen sensitivity?

I already tried the Accessibility>touch menu but nothing seems to work…

Hi sylvie141,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with the display sensitivity of your new iPad. We'd like to enjoy this new purchase so let's see if we can help.

You mentioned that you tried some steps on your own but it didn't change the behavior. Did you try these steps? If the screen isn't working on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support These steps may help you isolate this issue a bit more or even help resolve it!

If your screen is too sensitive or responds intermittently to touch

1. Restart your iPhone or iPad.
2. Make sure that your screen is clean and free of any debris or water.
3. Disconnect any Lightning or USB-C accessories. If your screen works after removing an accessory, try using a different outlet, cable, or charger.
4. Remove any cases or screen protectors.

If you need help after that, Contact Apple Support for additional steps.

Take care!
