I cannot send email on iPhone using the server where I purchased my domain

I have no particular problem on Mac, but on my iPhone, I can't send email. The message says to go to Settings, which I did. I have the server in there, but it doesn't work. Can anyone please help?

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities.


Are you able to access your mail from the web server for that account?  This would mean logging into your account using a web browser.


Also, follow each of the steps found here: If you can’t send email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support


Please note, the very last steps suggests removing and reading the account. Just to be safe, we recommend backing up the device prior to completing that step.
