It looks like I have a bug in my iphone. How can I download certain apps from icloud and not all apps when I set my iphone back to factory settings

I was told I have a bug in my iphone and need to reset my phone back to factory settings. I want to make sure my pictures, contacts and texts come back to my phone when I reset it - how do I go about this? I also need to bring back some of my apps - how can I pick and choose which apps come back to my phone from icloud.

You cannot pick and choose what apps come back. When restoring a backup, the process will set all apps back to be redownloaded from the store. There's no way to prevent this. Once re-downloaded, you are of course free to delete any apps you no longer want however.
