Issue: *Clear All* Notifications on Lock Screen

When I swipe down the notifications shade and see all of my notifications…the X button to clear all will be in the middle somewhere down the list. If I click the X button it will clear all the notifications that are below the X button but it won’t clear all the notifications above it. So what I have to do is either click on each or have to double swipe to the left on each one to clear them. The frustrations really sinks in when I double swipe and sometimes it opens the camera app or I don’t use my iPad for a few days and there are tons of notifications.

In an ideal world I would love for all notifications to just clear when I press the X button, tbh I don’t really look at the notifications on my iPad because I use an Android phone, and notifications are better handled on Android than iOS, so they don’t sync across platforms.

iPad Pro, iPadOS 15

Salutations elemental2001,

Notification Center does show older notifications, which means you can't clear new/current notifications using the same process. It sounds like that may be what you're encountering with the 'Clear All' functionality being part way down the screen. Is this also true if you access Notification Center from the Lock Screen, to access on the Lock screen swipe up from the middle of the screen, if you tap and hold on the ‘x’ does it change to ‘Clear All’?

You can disable notifications on a per app basis in Settings > Notifications. Tap on each app you’d prefer to not receive a notification for and toggle off ‘Allow Notifications’.
