Certain parts of a song won't play

This is an issue I've noticed with a couple songs I have on my playlists. Basically, the entire song will play, but certain lyrics or instruments at times stay silent despite the rest of the song playing. It doesn't play early, it doesn't play late, it just doesn't play at all. I've tried to remove the songs, play them from different sections of apple music (different playlists, the album, from the search bar, etc.), even tried to turn off silent mode (obviously that one wasn't the answer, but majority of the time silent mode is turned on so I had to try-), but nothing works. The parts never play. I only discovered it were silent when I heard them from a friend's phone as they were listening to the same songs (and later when looking it up on youtube). It's only on my device(s), and I don't know what's going on. Has anyone else experienced this?
