my macbook airs sound only works if i have my airpods on , without them i cant hear anything. I’ve tried everyrhint and it still doesn’t work all of a sudden

If the AirPods are nearby they will automatically pair. If you want to switch to the Mac's speakers go to System Preferences->Sound->Output and make sure the MacBook Air's speakers are selected there.
