Unable to wake Apple TV with Home app automation

I’ve tried to do my homework on this issue but haven’t found a solution. Before I contact Apple I’d like to ask the community.

Using the Home app, how do I create an automation to play music on my Apple TV when it’s asleep?

My Apple TV (4K, 2nd gen, 2021) won’t wake up. My automation is pretty simple. At x time of day, play y music. I’ve tried / tested out 2 things:

1) Just press the Apple TV button in the Home app to turn the Apple TV on.

2) Create a scene with other smart devices alongside the Apple TV.

3) Turn on my Apple TV using the physical remote then turn it off again. Then try to wake it up using automation.

4) Restart the Apple TV then turn it off again. Then try to wake it using automation.

5) Create a shortcut to wake up the Apple TV on my iPad then try to find somewhere in the automation to insert that shortcut.

I have the latest version of tvOS installed. I have the latest version of iPadOS installed. I have my Apple TV connected to my home in the Apple TV HomeKit settings.

I’d appreciate any help to figure this out. Playing music from my Apple TV would be a great automation to have for something like when I come home from work (or any other relevant scenes). Thank you.
