Mac will not sync Photos via iCloud

No issue with iPhone or iPad syncing photos through iCloud, only my Mac will not sync. I restart repeatedly and make sure all software is updated, but it will still not sync. This is a reoccurring problem. Sometimes I can get it to sync by toggling photo sync off then on again in iCloud settings, but it usually doesn't do anything. Photos tells me it is updating, but it will sit for a week or more and not sync new photos. This is a systemic problem. I am running OS 12.4 and iOS 15.4.1.

MacBook Pro (2020 and later)

I have a large library. As I stated in the original post, my library is NOT syncing. I don't need to give it any time at all, because it doesn't sync. The only action that prompted it to sync is the action that I stated. But that only worked once. Do you have any helpful tips?

How about answering the question the person had? Instead of going completely silent. And if you don't know, just SAY YOU DON'T KNOW. But going silent shows your total lack of respect for your job and that of the customer you are attending. There are others that face the same dilemma and you've provided nothing but silly answers TonyCollinet.

Every time you switch icloud off/on, you trigger a complete new sync of your whole library.

Depending on how big your libray is this can take days, or even weeks. How big is your library?

You need to let that complete before new images will sync.

I look at the bottom of the Photos "uploading 25 items" This remained the same for 3 days. Mac plugged into power and set never to sleep. New photos on my iPhone will sync to iCloud and my iPad but not my MacBook. My Photos Libary is 63 gigs with 32000 photos and 1400 videos. Is this too big? My iPhone and iPad handling these volumes?

Perhaps I have been away. We are not apple here, just users like you. We're not obligated to be on the forums 24/7 - nor is it possible.

How do you know it is not syncing? How long have you left it (since the last restart)?
