APPLE WATCH LOCATION

I stayed at a hotel on the 17th and realized my watch was gone later on that night I think my friend might have taken it. On the 22 I checked the find my iPhone feature to try and locate my watch and it said that it was last active on the 21st at my home address. I don’t know why it said that especially because I haven’t seen it or been on it since the 17th and why it was showing it was last seen at my address. Is that location truly accurate and I’ve just missed it everywhere it could have been or could there be an error and it picking up on my iPhone. ITS A SERIES 3 38mm GPS +cellular
