moviepkg and HLS Media files

Is there a way to get moviepkg and HLS Media files I have downloaded to my iMac to show up on the computers app on the AppleTV 4K? They only show up in the purchased section of movies. If not, is there a way to convert them so they do?

Movies importing as Home Videos. I have just upgraded my media centre computer from a MacMini 2010 to a new MacMini 2020. I tried importing my TV Shows into the new TV app but they are coming in as Home Videos and not Movies as it did in Mac OS 10.6. I have checked the Metadata in the files and they are all set as Movies and not Home Videos. I can change them manually in the TV up but there are lots and that would be cumbersome. Is there some way to fix this?

mts home movies hello all i've got a canon HD video recorder (LEGRIA HFS20) that we use to make home movies. It creates MTS files. until recently i've been using iMovie to export these to iTunes and sometimes we watch them on our TV using apple TV. now that iTunes has changed to music, i'm not sure what the best thing is to do with these files? There doesn't seem to be an obvious way to export from iMovie to the new Apple TV app on my mac. Many thanks! Bronte

How to show movies on the iMac to TV via Apple TV Have Apple TV generation 4, which does everything it should except show home movies from my iMac running High Sierra, and which are not in iTunes but in the Movies folder. How do I do that please? Secondary question: how to move home movies from a hard disk folder to the iTnues Movies Library?

Please review the tech specs for the model Apple TV you own, if the files are not in one of the accepted format then the answer is no.
