Turn off iPad Air 5 while in Guided Access

How do you turn off iPad Air 5 device while in Guided Access? I want to keep Guided Access on and not exit Guided Access before turning off the iPad. Can't use the top power button/volume button combo while in Guided Access to turn off the device. Also can't use the touch home button. Any ideas?

Hello Screencat,

It is necessary to disable Guided Access prior to turning your iPad off, however, you can still put the device to sleep if access to the Sleep/Wake Button is granted: Use Guided Access with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

If you'd like to see Guided Access available even when restarting a device, we recommend sharing feedback here: Product Feedback - Apple

Regards.
