This Mac can’t connect to Apple Media Services

Restarting a thread previously at This Mac can’t connect to Apple Media Ser… - Apple Community

because it's been a minute and no one has responded with any help.

Quite a number of people--264---have been experiencing this problem including me.

For me, there are two accounts associated to Media Services under Sys Pref > Apple ID.

One account corresponds to the Apple ID being used on this machine. The other account

is associated with the error message. One workaround that would work for me would be to

delete the second account, but neither of the `manage...' buttons lead to anything where

I can delete an account.

I'm currently experiencing this same problem. I tried the solution you described and I had no success. I don't know what to do.

Hey cjudge1,

We'd be happy to help out. Sounds like you have another Apple ID, that's not your primary, which is causing an error to appear, but you're having an issue removing the affected account.

To get started, we'd suggest going to System Preferences > Internet Accounts and checking to see if the affected account appears in this list. If so, tap on it, then tap on the "-" in order to delete the selected account.

If the issue persists, completely sign out of your Apple ID by going to System Preferences > Apple ID > Overview > Sign Out. Restart your Mac and then sign back into your Apple ID and test things out a bit further.

We hope this information helps out. Keep us posted on how it goes.

Take care!
