If I delete messages on my iPad will they still be on my iPhone?

If you have enabled Messages in iCloud and are signed-in to iCloud with the same AppleID on both iPhone and iPad, your messages will be fully synchronised between devices. Deletion of a message on one device will delete the message on all devices.


You can disable Messages in iCloud should you wish to do so - therefore severing synchronisation between devices.


On both iPhone and iPad, you’ll find the setting here:

Settings > [Your Name / AppleID] > iCloud > Messages - set to ON or OFF as required
