I just recently purchased airpods and want to add them to my device list just in case they are stolen but all i have is a Mac computer to register them. How do i add them to my device list?

Taking a look at Locate AirPods in Find My
"If your AirPods are paired with your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple Watch, or Mac, you can use the Find My app to help you locate them if they’re lost."
You'll need to ensure Fin My is set up on your Mac, following Set up Find My on all your devices
