#hashtagimage issue

I have had the same issue which I found in my cellular data but somehow it managed to download nearly 350GB in one less then one month... as soon as I plugged phone into laptop to do my backup this happened. That was a week ago and my phone has been doing some pretty weird stuff even when I’m not on there it’s creepy! I’ve uploaded pics and I also did a search on my phone and found the following... under accessibility options and I’ve updated everything I can as it matched the keystrokes... they stole god know what information I’ve been really worried about this :( so basically type # in the home screen pull down menu search bar and see what comes up you can click on the first one takes you to accessibility settings... took a while to change back to allow no access but took over an hour and plus a week of stressful conversations because the speech speed was slowed right down and it was like talking an alien lol so now when I do a search of my whole phone it comes up only in instagram and still unsure what I need to do there but I’m taking a break gonna have a KitKat while I await a response :)

Hey Katz-28,

We'd be happy to help out. To start, it sounds like you were concerned about HashtagImages, however 521kb is a very very small amount of data and is absolutely not the cause of the larger System Services data that you're seeing used up a large amount of mobile data.

HashtagImages is an iMessage app built into your iPhone to send GIFs in the Messages app and is expected to be there.

Next, if your System Services are using more mobile data than you expect, check to see if you have iCloud Drive enabled for use under Settings > [your name] > iCloud. If so, let's turn that off and test things out a bit further.

Let us know how things go.

Take care!
