Keeping personal mail apart from commercial and political

I receive, voluntarily, political mail that asks me for money. I thought, once a day, I might get as many as a hundred requests for money. No. I now have more than 100,000 unread gmails, etc., in my lists. Even the candidates I regularly give money to, gladly, send me stuff 10 times a day, It’s incessant. I barely read any of it because it’s impossible. I work. I miss mail from friends and family because there’s just too **** much mail. I don’t think there will ever be a slowdown in this.

My question is, how could I give all my friends and family a different e-mail address? it would end up with just a handful of letters a day I immediately attend to, and a bunch of important business type mail, and the political stuff would lurk in my “open this if you dare” mail. I’m really at a loss.

You just need to create a new personal e-mail address - it can be with Apple (iCloud), Google (gmail) or any other provider.

In the meantime, there are several things you can do, even with a single e-mail address.

Start by defining some people as VIP. This will have their messages nicely shown in a favorite place.

Open one message from someone you want as a VIP. Click the little down arrow next to the sender address and choose Add to VIP. Repeat for other friends and family that you want as VIP.

Then add VIP to your Favorites:
