air drop

I used notes and took a picture. I then airdropped the image from my phone to my MacBook. The image went from my notes to my notes. I wanted the document to go from my notes to my desktop or finder folder in downloads. Is there a way to direct the location of airdropped document to where it goes?

Hello!

To airdrop a picture that you have embedded within a Note, you need to do the following:


On your iPhone:

  1. Find the picture and hold it until you see the Haptic Menu.
  2. Select "Share"
  3. Select "AirDrop"
  4. Choose your MacBook from the list.


On your MacBook:

  1. Accept the Transfer (if both devices are registered under the same Apple ID, the transfer is automatically approved)
  2. Open Finder and go to your Downloads, to locate the picture.


If the issue persists:


On your iPhone:

  1. Find the picture and hold it until you see the Haptic Menu.
  2. Select "Share".
  3. Select "Save Image"
  4. Open the "Photos" app
  5. Find the picture you want to send
  6. Select "Share"
  7. Select "AirDrop"
  8. Choose your MacBook from the list.


On your MacBook:

  1. Accept the Transfer (if both devices are registered under the same Apple ID, the transfer is automatically approved)
  2. Open Finder and go to your Downloads, to locate the picture.


HOWEVER, if you want to share the entire note:

After receiving the transfer on your MacBook:

  1. Open the note in the "Notes" app.
  2. Go to "File" on the Menu Bar
  3. Select "Export as PDF"
  4. Choose the desired location to export.
