MagSafe 3: fast charging with third party charger?

I own a 2021 MBP 14" which didn't come with Apple's 'fast' power adapter (96W). If I attach a fast charger from a reputable brand which supports Power Delivery via the USB-C port to the MagSafe 3 cable, will MagSafe still fast charge my laptop? I fear the answer is no, presumably the charging protocol behind MagSafe is proprietary to Apple.. If so, what type of charging is possible using non-Apple chargers in conjunction with a MagSafe cable?

I am aware I can still fast charge using the USB-C connectors on my MBP, but I'd love to use MagSafe when travelling with a more compact third party charger.
