How to fix/repair/delete OLD Game Center account?

How to fix/repair/delete OLD Game Center account or at least make it merge with new account?

My brother gave me his old (early 2015) MacBook Pro and after about a year of playing with it, I decided to upgrade to my own brand new 2022 MacBook Pro.

The problem: about 6 months ago I wanted to replace the scratched up screen, and not realizing the earlier 2015 model wasn't just a glass replacement. I was supposed to replace the whole screen assembly. Needless to say, I broke the screen glass trying to pry it off. I put it away and forgot about it until last week. In the last 6 months however, I had changed my Apple ID. I remembered I had tons of music and other things on that MacBook. I fired up the old MacBook, hooked it up to my smart TV via hdmi to screencast. Then... migrated everything over to new MacBook.

As you can imagine, I didn't sign out of everything iCloud. But even if I had tried, I couldn't have because that Apple ID was no longer my Apple ID (I still try now, with no luck. Keep getting errors and "Apple ID/Password incorrect...). So with that, it basically copied over my new Home Folder with the old Apple ID home folder account. I was able to fix the Home Folder and everything else except one thing... Game Center.

I don't have any current games associated with my newly renamed Apple ID/Game Center except Chess on Mac.

In System Preferences > Internet Accounts > I can see my OLD Game Center account and the new one. I am unable to delete the old one or make ANY changes whatsoever. When I select the old one, press the minus sign at bottom left corner, it deletes my current account instead and leaves the old one still there.

What gives? Or how can I remedy this? See screenshots...

Please don't tell me to "just ignore it..." as I will just ignore your comment. Thank you.

Was your mac properly prepared...does not sound like it— I would start here:

I suppose I didn't make myself clear. When my brother gave me his old MacBook, it was properly prepared. It was when I had been signed into it with MY Apple ID when it broke. Left it alone for a few months. In that time frame, I had changed my Apple ID through Safari. Been using new Apple ID (which was only changing the name, not a completely NEW Apple ID) for a few months now. Just a few days ago I bought a new MacBook Pro and then remembering I had tons of data on old Mac. Plugged in it, connected TV via HDMI and started migration assistant right away. FORGETTING to "log out" of everything associated with that "old" Apple ID that was no longer valid anyway. So with an old Apple ID that was no longer valid, got migrated over to new Mac. Obviously, I deleted all old apps that I no longer used anyway. I was able to fix the Home Folder account name, user name, and everything that I now use with my new Apple ID. It's the Game Center data and old account that is still "lingering" that I want to get rid of.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it was not helpful as I've already been down that path numerous times.
