Thanks for your comments, but the reason Apple has not posted that is because it is not strictly true. The details are much more nuanced that you imply.
MacBook Pro from 2016 and older can not support displays over 4096 pixels over ONE cable -- but they do work when connected with two cables.
MacBook Pro from 2017 and later CAN support displays wider than 4096 over one cable, but they must be running MacOS 11 Big Sur or later to do so.
In every case, the specs of the interfaces are running up against the laws of Physics, and the maximum switching speeds of semiconductors. Therefore, top-speed-rated cables are required, and any docks involved must support the appropriate versions of their interfaces as well.
