I follow the very simple steps to start a screen recording with a microphone turned on but when replaying it, there is still no sound. What am I missing?

While screen recording internal audio is always muted to prevent piracy. You can only record external audio.
It makes sense. I kinda suspected it. I just didn’t do a thorough enough research. All those “how to screen record FaceTime call with sound” videos are just bogus. You CANNOT! You are absolutely correct!

I have an Ipad and a Samsung phone. I regret buying the ipad. This is one of the reasons why: cannot record any live videos with my loved ones, me being abroad. A lot of money for needing to buy apps for screen recording.
