Unable to Set up the Brother DCP-L2520DW Printer after the Monterey 12.4 update

My Brother printer DCP-L2520DW was working fine until I updated the MacBook to the OS Monterey 12.4 earlier this month (May 2022). First, the Mac was unable to communicate to the printer with this note: "Unable to communicate to printer at this time." Hereafter, I reset the printer and try to reinstall the Brother printer, the message shown is as follows:  "Unable to connect to ‘Brother DCP-L2520DW series._ipp._tcp.local.’ due to an error." Can I expect the next release of OS will resolve this issue?

I have a Brother DCP-L2540DW (almost identical to yours) and it works well with Monterey 12.4

See the following from Brother Support https://help.brother-usa.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/176091?R3ModelID=DCPL2520DW

A Mac CUPS printer driver is not provided. You must print using an AirPrint driver or use Brother iPrint&Scan.

Instructions for adding an AirPrint driver are included in the same support document.

For Brother iPrint&Scan you can download from the Mac App Store. Also see: https://support.brother.com/g/b/downloadlist.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=dcpl2520dw_us_eu&os=10072
