Applications move down on screen after sleep (Monterey, Mac Studio)

This is re-starting a conversation that is marked "Solved". The issue is NOT solved. I am using a 3rd-party screen on a Mac Studio Max running Monterey 12.4. Everytime the computer wakes from sleep the "Main" screen applications have moved down on the screen about a third. This is not acceptable. Please fix this issue Apple!

Window position after sleep On a new Mac Studio, there's this annoying macOS "feature" (actually a bug ...) whereby random apps are usually repositioned at the bottom of the screen / possibly resized / and sometimes jump back into their previous location .. when coming out of sleep. I can be away from my desk for an hour and then I typically observe this behaviour. It is very frickin' annoying to watch apps jump around the screen when coming back to the desktop. None of my brilliant iMacs did/do this, it's only this Mac Studio + external Studio Display that is doing it. Everything is new, and none of the hardware is damaged etc etc etc. I'm only interested in thoughts on how to solve this problem, not waste my time by talking about reinstalling macOS. And pursuing a support ticket is just an exercise in frustration. Unless it's an iPhone bug, Apple Support don't ever seem to prioritise other products.

When iMac goes to sleep, all apps close I am using Monterey 12.3.1 When the iMac goes to sleep, all open applications are automatically closed. I would like to keep them open until I make the decision to close them. Is there a specific setting to allow this? Thank you.

After more testing I find if the two monitors are aligned at bottom in the "Displays Preference" window the applications do not reposition on wake. This is just a workaround. I would prefer to have the cursor smoothly transition from screen to screen along the top.

Spoke too soon. Moving the screens in "Display Preferences" does NOT fix the problem.
