Ignore built-in track pad not working

I'm still have a problem in 12.4 with the Accessibility option Ignore built-in track pad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present. I'm using the standard apple wireless Magic Mouse 2. When the mouse is connected the trackpad still picks up movements. Sometimes after a reboot it works but other times not. Uncheck the check box and re-checking makes no difference. It seems this problem has been around for a long and should be fixed.

Magic trackpad reversed scrolling direction I have a Apple Magic Trackpad v1 that I use via bluetooth with my Monterey MacBook Pro. After I have the trackpad on for a while, the scrolling direction reverses: left goes right, up goes down. If I power toggle the device, it works as it should for a while then repeats this behavior. Any idea what is causing this?
