How to restore icon to Home Screen
Lost the message icon. How do I get it back on Home Screen

Check if you have accidentally moved that icon to a different screen page and/or "hidden" it into a folder.
Shouldn't be this case, search for that icon in your app library, press and hold it for 1-2 seconds, then you'll see a window where you can select "Add to Home Screen".
