After update to AppleTV 4K can't control anything.

AppleTV 4k, just updated, then got to start page with different shows seen scanning across the screen, but everything else is frozen. I can't click on anything, or even turn off box. I can change the volume with the remote, but nothing else. I then unplugged for 20 seconds and replugged it but with same results.

I did nothing to interfere with the new upgrade, waited until it finished before I tried to control anything, even plugged in the remote to make sure it had power.
