is there a way to check for virus’s on iPhone?
my daughter has an iPhone 12 which is fully updated for the latest IOS. She went on a site (omegale) and has had a pop up that said that her phone had been hacked and the link led her to an app called hot locker which she did not download
though I am aware it is likely this is just a phishing pop up to get the app downloaded I just want to be sure

Most likely that the link is malicious but according to Apple IPhones cannot get malware and it’s great that she didn’t download the app however clicking the link she might have have given personal information such as the device model, location etc. Please advice her not to click next time and just stick to sites she’s aware of no matter how tempting.

No. Apple's security measures prevent any malware from getting onto it; they also prevent a scanner from checking anything other than its own documents.
