Frozen iPhone in Guided Access

What is a better way of restarting my iPhone 13 without waiting for the battery to die or wiping the device? It's currently frozen in Guided Access without the ability to turn off or go to the original app screen where I can enter the password to unlock. The volume up and down and off option also doesn't work. Thank you in advance for your help.

Force restart the phone:

  • Press and quickly release VOLUME UP
  • Press and quickly release VOLUME DOWN
  • Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears (15-30 seconds), ignoring "slide to power off" if it appears

The operative word here is QUICKLY; and try it a couple of times, the timing is a little tricky.
