voice mem

hi can someone please help me

i am a collage student, I record my lecture by voice memos app then store them else where

the problem is that although I am deleting the recordings (yes permanently delete) the space that the app is taking keeps building up

i tried to delete it ( not just offline it) and redownload ing it but no use

man’s it is not in my iCloud (I opened it on my laptop)

can some one please help me it is eating my iPhone storage

ps. Sorry if the topic is not quite related did find what I was looking for

Hi HaiderAlamili,


To clarify, check your storage under Settings > General > iPhone Storage before deleting Voice Memos. Then delete it, and prior to reinstalling it, check your storage again. Does the iPhone reclaim approximately the 4.5GB?


If it doesn't, restart your device while the app is still deleted: Restart your iPhone, then redownload it.


If it still installs back with the same amount of storage or you're otherwise still unable to clear it, we'd recommend contacting Apple Support directly for assistance.
