does the Iblue 30 pin bluetooth transmitter work with Apple Homehub mini

I want to connect an iPod Classic to an Apple HomeHub Mini. I have found a Bluetooth adapter made by IDC Autio Visual called the iBlue Bluetooth Transmitter.

does anyone know if this will pair with the Mini and/or any problems experienced with this combination.

I assume Bluetooth is Bluetooth and any such device should pair with the Mini. Perhaps that’s too optimistic! :-)

Otherwise, any other Bluetooth transmitters for this purpose would be of interest.

No. HomePod mini is an AirPlay (Wi-Fi) speaker. Bluetooth is used during setup and handoff but not for audio. There is no Bluetooth transmitter that can be used with HomePod.

HomePod mini can play from your unhidden music purchase history with the iTunes Store, or your iCloud Music Library if you have Apple Music or iTunes Match. You can also AirPlay from an iTunes or Music library on Windows or Mac computers, or from an iPhone or iPad.

From HomePod - Technical Specifications:

iPhone SE, iPhone 6s or later, or iPod touch (7th generation) with the latest iOS; or iPad Pro, iPad (5th generation or later), iPad Air 2 or later, or iPad mini 4 or later with the latest iPadOS
802.11 Wi-Fi Internet access

Bluetooth transmitters for cars can work with iPod classic, but I'm not aware of any hardware to transmit over the AirPlay protocol.

So how do I play the music held on my iPod using the HomePod mini?

I have seen several responses on the Amazon site saying that this adapter was used to send (via bluetooth) to a car stereo and one claimed a HPod mini.

This is a real disappointment, I bought the mini from an Apple store on the understanding that it would use a Bluetooth connection for music.

can I use an iPad as a link between the two?

the mini is very limited in its use. There are no UK radio stations that are receivable, only USA. To receive UK you have to use an iPad with the BBC Sounds app as a receiver. Perhaps the iPad could be used this way to receive the bluetooth signal and retransmit to the mini?

You cannot link the iPad with the iPod classic, but you can put your music on the iPad and AirPlay from that to HomePod. iPad cannot act as a Bluetooth speaker, nor can it retransmit a Bluetooth signal.
